For this week's post, I will be sharing the course "How to Start a Money Making Blog" by LadyBossBlogger. I have been blogging for a year now and have been wanting to take my site to the next level.

Course Breakdown
Find your "WHY" - for me, this one is easy. I decided to start a style blog because I love fashion and styling - and why not share that with you all! I am a mother of two and needed something for "me", which I am sure all mother's can relate to.
Finding your niche and target audience - There is a quiz that you can take that helps you find your niche and different questions to ask regarding your target audience.
Email marketing strategies - This section was definitely an eye opener for me. I have only made a few email marketing campaigns, but after going through this section of the course I am definitely going to make it a priority.
Social media foundations - The course describes in detail social media sites and the ways to promote your blog. I have learned so much more on how to promote my blog in ways that will create more traffic.
SEO best practices - I feel like a lot of newer bloggers have this issue on not understanding SEO, as I can definitely relate. When I first started my blog, I had no idea what SEO really meant or why it was so important. This course goes in detail on why it is so important and tips/tricks to boost your SEO.
How to make money blogging - This course goes through all of the ways to make a money making blog. There are so many great ideas and tips on how to pitch to different brands, ways to add affiliate links, and establish sponsorships. Also, this will walk you through on how to make an awesome media kit.
Setting up your domain and website - The course walks you through on how to obtain your domain and set up your website.
What I Have Learned
Before I began my blog, I researched and spent a lot of time trying to decide which site would be most useful and how to begin a blog. I really wish I would have taken LadyBossBlogger's course because it is filled with information that I wish I had known a year ago.
I have learned that there are also apps that will help schedule social media posts and provide a timeline to keep you on track. This is something that I am going to utilize moving forward.
Before I started the course, I had my doubts on if this was going to be useful for me or not. After completing the course, I have a new outlook on blogging and cannot wait to put the tips and tricks to use. If you are a newer blogger starting out, I would definitely take this course. Even if you are an established blogger, this course is filled with information that might be helpful to you!
