My Beauty Routine

When I was in college, I was more about the makeup application vs skincare. Now that I am in my thirties I have been focusing more on skincare. I understand that now, more than ever, is the time to take care of your skin. I have been a Stella & Dot stylist for many years now. At the end of last year, Stella & Dot decided to combine their three brands: Stella & Dot, Keep Collective, and Ever Skincare.

I have been using Ever Skincare for the past several months now and absolutely love their products. I have been terrible at following a routine skincare regimen in the past, but I have finally found one that is easy to follow for the AM and PM so I wanted to share the products that I use.

AM Skincare Routine

In the morning, I use the gentle cleanser in the shower to wash my face. I use a Reveal peel pad and wipe around my face after which helps remove dead skin cells and improve the skins texture. Next, I use the Quench hydrating booster and it has helped fade some of my dry patches and leaves my skin feeling smooth. Lastly, I finish with a SPF 30 priming moisturizer.

2. Rebalance Gentle Cleanser (for Oily/Combo)

3. Reveal Biomimetic Peel Pads

4. Quench Hydrating Booster

5. Canvas Moisturizer

PM Skincare Routine

Before bed, I use a Norwex body cloth to remove the majority of my makeup and then I dab some of the beauty water makeup remover on a cotton ball to remove my eye makeup. This stuff melts off mascara and eyeshadow with just a few gentle swipes. I then use a Reveal peel pad. I then put on a nighttime cream and lastly dab the Revive intensive eye lift cream around my eyes.

Let's Talk Makeup

As being a mom of two active toddlers, I do not have a lot of time to focus on makeup so I need something that is quick and easy. I absolutely love the "Out The Door" Pallet by Ever. It includes three eyeshadows, blush, highlighter, and bronzer all in one compact. The pallet also comes with an instruction card that shows you how to apply each item. And it doesn't hurt that it is so pretty to look at!

One of my favorite foundations that I use is the Forever foundation. It goes on so smoothly and has really good coverage without feeling heavy. It stays on all day without budging. I have been focusing more on my eyebrows vs my eye makeup. I used to always wear a liquid eyeliner, but have found myself not wanting to do such a dramatic eye look for everyday. So now I have been applying an eye pencil to create more defined eyebrows. Lastly, I finish off with mascara and a setting powder. I would recommend a setting powder if you have oily skin like I do. I have noticed that as I use a setting powder that it has helped reduce the amount of oil on my skin throughout the day.

I am not a professional makeup artist by any means. I am always fascinated by makeup artists and I love watching makeup videos to help learn new skills for application. I used to be overwhelmed by how many makeup products there are and if you needed them all in order to do your makeup successfully. Let me just say, you do not! I apply my makeup with what feels comfortable to me and my personal preference. I hope you have enjoyed this post and found some inspiration in achieving your beauty routine.

Whitney
